Claude Code

How to generate images in Claude Code

Claude Code can’t generate images on its own, but it can call an image model through an MCP server. Tastepix adds image generation to Claude Code with one command: run claude mcp add --transport http tastepix https://mcp.tastepix.com/mcp, sign in once, then ask for the image in plain words. You get 12 models (Nano Banana, GPT Image, FLUX, Seedream, Qwen, Recraft incl. Recraft V4.1 Vector with SVG export, and Grok) plus background removal, upscaling and image-to-video. There are no API keys. You pay per image from €0.03, with no subscription.

claude mcp add --transport http tastepix https://mcp.tastepix.com/mcp

That adds Tastepix to the current project. To use it in every project, add --scope user:

claude mcp add --transport http tastepix --scope user https://mcp.tastepix.com/mcp

Three steps

Add, sign in, ask.

About two minutes the first time. After that you just ask for the image.

  1. 01

    Add Tastepix

    Run the command in your project directory. Claude Code writes Tastepix into that project’s MCP config. Use --scope user if you want it in every project.

    Terminal
    $ claude mcp add --transport http tastepix https://mcp.tastepix.com/mcp
    Added HTTP MCP server tastepix with URL: https://mcp.tastepix.com/mcp to local config
  2. 02

    Sign in

    Start claude, type /mcp, choose tastepix and sign in in the browser. You can also run claude mcp login tastepix from your shell. New accounts get free credit, and no card is needed.

    Terminal
    $ claude mcp list
    tastepix: https://mcp.tastepix.com/mcp (HTTP) - ! Needs authentication
    $ claude mcp login tastepix
    Your browser opens the Tastepix sign-in page. Sign in, click Allow, and you’re connected.
  3. 03

    Ask for an image

    Ask in plain words. Claude picks a model, or uses the one you name, generates the image and saves it where you asked. Every image is also kept in your gallery at tastepix.com.

Where images go

In your repo, and in your gallery.

Tell Claude the path. Tastepix also keeps every image in one place, from every app.

Saved into the project

Ask for a path and Claude writes the file there — public/og/launch.png, src/assets/, wherever the repo needs it.

Kept on tastepix.com

The same image lands in your Tastepix gallery, so you can download it again, edit it or reuse it as a reference.

Manage the connection

List it, sign in again, or remove it.
